Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix

Product Information
Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix is a unique gelatin electrospinning matrix designed specifically for the gain of Keratinized Mucosa and enlarge vestibular sulcus depth in vestibuloplasty procedure.
Three-layer structures
The unique sandwich structure is made up by Gelatin-PCL-Gelatin. The upper and lower gelatin layers serve as a carrier material for tissue regeneration and the PCL layer as a mechanical stabilize.
Soft Tissue Integration
The sub-micrometer-scale fiber structure designed provides a good scaffold environment facilitates soft tissue cell ingrowth and good integration of the matrix with the surrounding tissues.
Technology
Exclusive electrospinning technology precisely controls the diameter of gelatin and polycaprolactone fibers, making them more suitable for the biomechanics of cell growth.
Processing
The matrix with exact E-module provided a pattern for all other essential biomarkers of epithelial tissue homeostasis, as can also be found in native tissue.

FAQS
What is Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix?
Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix™ unique gelatin electrospinning matrix designed specifically for the gain of Gain of Keratinized Mucosa and enlarge vestibular sulcus depth in vestibuloplasty procedure.
What is Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix made of?
Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix is a biocomposite scaffold of Gelatin/PCL for periodontal tissue repair. The gelatine fibers serve as a carrier material for tissue regeneration and the PCL as a mechanical stabilizer, which initially does not come into direct contact with cells but stabilizes the wound with the membrane throughout the entire wound healing process.
What is PCL?
The Polycaprolactone (PCL) as a mechanical stabilizer, which initially does not come into direct contact with cells but stabilizes the wound with the membrane throughout the entire wound healing process.
Is Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix resorbable and how long is the resorption time?
The gelatin in Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix is methodically replaced by newly formed soft tissue in 14 days. The PCL layer remains on day 14 to protect the wound from open healing. It can be removed at the same time as the sutures were removed.
Is Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix an alternative for free gingival graft (FGG) or for connective tissue graft (CTG)?
Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix It is recommended for free gingival graft (FGG) for increasing keratinized tissue and enlarge vestibular sulcus depth in vestibuloplasty procedure. Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix is also an alternative to CTG for use in recession coverage procedures under strict indication screening.
Does Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix need to be treated prior to application to the defect?
Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix need hydration prior for 5-10 seconds with saline before application. The hydrated Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix can fit well with the wound.
Does Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix shrink after hydration?
The length and width of AGM will shrink by about 10% after hydration. The thickness will expand slightly.
Can Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix be stretched?
Yes. Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix can be stretched. The PCL layer provides good tensile properties for Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix.
Which side of Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix should face the bone?
The upper and lower layers of Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix are both gelatin fiber structures, so there is no need to distinguish between the upper and lower layers when using Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix.
What suture should be used with Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix?
There is no clinical evidence showing a benefit of one type of suture over another one when suturing Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix. We suggest using a 5-0 absorbable suture to secure the partial thickness flap to the periosteum and using a 6-0 non-absorbable suture to fixed Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix to the wound.
How many layers of Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix should be used?
In the majority of the clinical cases reported with Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix, one piece of Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix was used.
Should Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix be used submerged or in open healing situations?
It depends on the indication: Gain of Keratinized Tissue and vestibuloplasty procedure: Open healing is recommended. Recession Coverage: Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix should remain completely submerged under the flap.
Are antibiotics needed after treatment with Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix?
After treatment with Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix, please follow the same postsurgical management that is usually applied with soft tissue augmentation.
What precautions should be taken during the operation of Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix for open wounds?
A partial-thickness flap was prepared with a 0.5-1mm width of Keratinized Tissue (KT) at the coronal boundary of the APF, if possible.
What are the precautions when clamping and trimming the Neocirrus® Augmented Gingival Matrix?
Using dry equipment when clamping and trimming Neocirrus™ Augmented Gingival Matrix. The size of the trimmed AGM should be slightly larger than that of the wound to avoid shrinkage after hydration.
